Thank you for the memories. I was able to attend the Diaz family reunion two years ago in El Paso. My ancestors worked the pecan fields near El Paso. This brought back fond memories of my grandfather with his dark Mexican skin who worked hard to bring his family to California, working his way out of the fields in order to offer his family an alternative life. It also made me long for my family and the for the days we can have family reunions again.

How beautiful, Lisa. I am a singer who hasn’t been singing (& who hasn’t even cared about singing) and I’ve been beating myself up for it. This piece helps me put some of that guilt and shame behind me. Thank you ❤️
